Welcome to Wingman, a digital service operated by Emelia Beeson, an individual based in Spain ("Wingman", "we", "us", "our"). By using our website at worldcupwingman.com (the "Site") or our mobile web application (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. About Wingman

Wingman provides users with humorous, expert-sounding soccer talking points about football matches. Content is generated daily from publicly available match data and delivered via the Service. The Service includes a free tier and one or more paid tiers ("Passes" or "Plans").

2. Payments and Merchant of Record

All payments for paid tiers are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. When you purchase a Pass or Plan, your contract of sale is with Paddle, who handles billing, taxes, and customer support enquiries relating to payment.

By making a purchase, you also agree to Paddle's terms, available at paddle.com/legal.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to access, scrape, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service or its underlying systems
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit content from the Service without our written permission
  • Use automated tools to access the Service except as expressly permitted
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity

    • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service for any breach of these Terms.

    5. Content and intellectual property

    All content on the Service, including bluff lines, translations, branding, and code, is the intellectual property of Wingman and is provided for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may share individual lines socially (for example, copying a line into a group chat), but you may not bulk-copy, redistribute, or publish our content as your own.

    The football data underlying our content is sourced from publicly available sources and remains the property of its original rights-holders.

    6. Service availability

    We aim to keep the Service available 24/7 during the 2026 FIFA World Cup and beyond, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to issues outside our control. We are not liable for losses resulting from Service downtime.

    7. Disclaimers

    The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Content generated by Wingman is intended for entertainment purposes. While we take reasonable care to ensure factual accuracy regarding match events, we make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content, including any tactical, statistical, or historical claims made within bluff lines.

    Wingman is not affiliated with FIFA, any football association, club, broadcaster, or player.

    8. Limitation of liability

    To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including loss of profits, data, or reputation.

    Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

    9. Termination

    You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with reasonable notice where practical.

    We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Service or by email where we have your contact details. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

    These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Spain, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
